Tenth Ward Distilling Company will be at the 2019 Downtown Frederick Wedding Walk!
Written by Amanda Boroughs, Marketing & Events, Tenth Ward Distilling Company
Hi friends! My name is Amanda and I manage marketing and events here at Tenth Ward Distilling Company. Since joining the company almost a year ago, my role has allowed me to wear many hats: from designing the bottle labels to working farmers markets and coordinating on-site events. And my favorite part of the gig? Working with YOU to find your dream wedding venue! Trust me when I tell you… Tenth Ward’s new Whiskey Hall is going to be the hot spot to get married in 2019 and 2020.
We Have Big Plans for 2019!
A lot of big things are happening for Tenth Ward this year. Not only have we moved to a new location in downtown Frederick to allow for the development of our new Cocktail Lab and the expansion of our barrel program, we have plans to become the premier location for downtown Frederick weddings and private events!
“Downtown Frederick needs an industrial style wedding venue!”
We’ve been working tirelessly to complete the renovation of our stunning new wedding venue. And it’s come at the perfect time. We’ve been at our new location for just four months now and all we hear is, “Downtown Frederick needs an industrial style wedding venue!” Well guess what, we heard you, Frederick. And now we have the perfect opportunity to debut our new wedding digs: At the 2019 Downtown Frederick Wedding Walk!
2019 Frederick Wedding Walk
The Downtown Frederick Wedding Walk is sponsored by Frederick Weddings, and organized by our good friends at Relish Decor and Colonial Jewelers. On Saturday, April 27, 300-350 participants will be able to tour downtown Frederick wedding venues (us!), meet tons of wedding vendors, do some shopping, win prizes, and just get plain excited for their big day! Did we mention there will also be a grand finale: The famous Cake Dig at Colonial Jewelers – something you won’t want to miss! You can register to attend the walk here.
Where does Tenth Ward fit into all of this?
Tenth Ward will be a pitstop during the walk where we will be hosting 3 wonderful wedding vendors, all whom which are considered top tier in their industry. Check out the amazing vendors we’ll be working will:
Not only will we be showcasing our new digs and some of our favorite wedding friendors, we’ll be giving away prizes and sharing promotions you won’t want to miss (think FREE services, free swag, etc.)!
Are you excited yet?
We are!
Tenth Ward’s New Digs: The Whiskey Hall
Okay, a little bit more about the venue… Located at 55 E. Patrick St., the Whiskey Hall is the name we’ve coined for our new wedding space. We think it’s the perfect name to embody its industrial, simple, yet elegant vibe. Measuring in at 2,300 square feet, it can hold ceremonies and receptions of up to 130 people.
And boy did we luck out with this old historic building. All of it’s wonderful charm was resurrected with just a little (okay, actually a lot of) buffing and refinishing. The original hardwood floor – having been painted many years ago – were sanded down, buffed out and refinished and now resemble its former beauty. Gorgeous brick walls were revealed after tearing down old plaster, and the large industrial windows have been given a face lift with just a little paint. Simple string lights have been hung to set a romantic mood. We can’t wait to show off the beauty that’s been recovered in this old building. It truly is stunning.
Side note: We hosted our first wedding last Sunday and it was a HUGE success. Check out this wonderful review from our lovely bride Andrea:
“We couldn’t have found a more perfect space. You were a dream to work with! … Yesterday was better than we could’ve imagined. We definitely have you and Tenth Ward to thank for that!”
